Ok everyone - time to step up to the plate and post your 2010 goals.

I have two......

1. Weight loss - get to 100kgs by 30th June 2010 (currently 122.9)

2. Run 5kms in 22mins by 31st December 2010 (currently 35mins)

Good exercise.

I needed to do this for myself anyway. Might as well do it here.

 

Near Term:
I am competing in the MABBA 2010 Novice Bodybuilding competition in the Light Heavyweight and Masters classes.
I am going to place in the top three in both of those classes.


Medium to Long Term:
I am going to have my left rotator cuff and bicep tendon fixed after the competition.
I am going to maintain a healthy 15% bodyfat composition for the remainder of 2010 after competing and surgery.
I am going to finish 2010 with a healthier shoulder and lifting every pound that I was before surgery.

Weight Loss Goals:

  • Short - Medium Term = lose 5% of my start weight; lose 10% of my start weight
  • Long - reach my healthy weight goal of 60kg by year end (ie lose 22.2kg!)

Health Goals:

  • Make physical activity a part of my daily routine, starting with 20-30 minutes 4x a week, building to 45-60 minutes daily
  • Meet my nutrition goals daily (5+2 serves produce daily, 8+ glasses water daily, healthy proteins and fats)
  • Take time out to be good to myself each day, eg yoga/meditation or other quiet time just for me

Fitness Goals:

  • Short - Medium Term = 15 'boy' push-ups; complete high-intensity Tae Bo workout in full; take up roller derby sports training; increase reps & weights in my resistance training on a weekly basis
  • Long = run the 5km fun run course in September, which I walked last year; compete in roller derby 

 

Doing something is better than nothing, and nothing is never an option!

Goals 2010:

  • Run Copenhagen Marathon faster than 3:58:00 on the 23rd of May (not completed)
  • Run another marathon this year (not completed)
  • Start training a new sport at least 10 occasions (7 of 10 brasilian jiu-jitsu trainings completed)
  • Train with my local running club at least 10 times (none yet, because of the snow)
  • Run 10 km faster than 40 minutes, threadmill allowed (not completed)
  • Read at least 12 books (1 of 12 completed)
  • Stay outside for at least 15 minutes every day (still going strong)
  • Record all my training and my weight now and then at Shapelink (still going strong)
  • Print out my goals and put them on the wall in the bedroom (completed)

Just back into excercise, new treadmill (I walk and I love it) and an upright bike on the way.

Goals:

1) Work up to 60 minute workouts over a 12 week period and maintain this routine indefinitely. (Treadmill and outdoor tracks)

2) Work up to 60 minutes on the excercise bike over 12 week period and maintain as above, rotate between walking and biking.

3) Lose 15 lbs to start with as above excercises dictate, continue losing a total of 30 lbs.

Hi everyone,

 

Weight Loss (starting weight of 122 kilos on 22nd March 2010)

   : Short term goal - lose kilos 4kilos by end of May

   : Long term - Reach 110 kilo by end of 2010.

   : Reduce body fat to under 20% by end of 2010

 

Running

   : Short Term Goal - Complete Portsmouth Promenade Series 5k run in May

   : Long Term Goal - Complete Eastleigh 10k run in March 2011

 

Generally increase amount of fitness I do and also make sure it becomes part of my everyday life.

 Here's how I'm doing so far:

  • Weight loss goals - not too bad, have lost 1.2kg overall.  Need to ramp this up if I'm going to meet my overall goal by year's end. 
  • Activity goals - am averaging 2-3 hours of moderate-high activity each week + yoga/meditation 3-7 days a week so I'm happy with how this is going.  Need to work on consistency and have a new 'short' program to help with this. 
  • Fitness goals - can now get all the way through Tae Bo without passing out!  Not up to 'boy' push ups yet but can now do 20 on my knees; weight training going well but just started new intense program so am back to light weights (0-3kg).  Have had to put roller derby on hold due to knee problems, cost of equipment and not being able to get into beginner's training as it's hugely popular in ACT after their first bout season! 

How are you all doing?

  • Reach 77kg by summer of 2011 I'm at 73.2 now
  • lose 5kg of fat by summer of 2011

  • Manage to average black level boulder climbing problems by summer 2011 (+1,5 levels for me)
